The ACT Government is developing a Sustainable Transport Action Plan 2010-2016. The Plan will include strategies relating to parking, public transport, cycling, walking and transport infrastructure, and will set out the actions required to achieve the 30% mode shift target over 15 to 20 years as identified in the Sustainable Transport Plan 2004, and to meet projected transport demand in Civic and the town centres.
The Bang the Table discussion was open from July - September 2009, and comments have now closed. You can still view the comments on the threads below. Results of this consultation will inform development of the Plan, which will be released in 2010. Would you prefer to walk a little further to a bus stop with frequent services (eg: buses every 5 to 15 minutes), or a bus stop closer to home with less frequent services (eg: every 45 minutes)?
