Blue Mountains City Council has prepared a Draft Community Consultation Policy 2009 to replace the Community Consultation Policy 2004.
The purpose of this policy is to establish protocols and to provide guidelines and tools to assist staff in the undertaking and management of community consultation and participation with the aim of facilitating citizen participation in Council’s planning and decision-making.
The Community Consultation Matrix, Community Consultation Toolkit and the BMCC Meeting Kit (see Library at right for downloads) are companion documents which provide the framework for community consultation practice as well as practical advice on community consultation techniques and the implementation of community consultation by Council staff.
