There is currently no additional charge to use the slide.
Q. What facilities have been provided for this money?
• The redevelopment has provided for a new, Olympic standard, 50m, eight lane pool.
• A new plant room with appropriate filters and water treatment facilities and solar heating with electric heating backup to heat the pool up to a comfortable 26-28 degrees.
• A large shade cover over half of the pool has been provided in addition to other shade structures located throughout the facility.
• Extensive lighting amd tiered seating.
• An 8m high, 70m long water slide. The slide pool can also act as a learn to swim pool.
• Landscaped and the refurbishment of some areas of the older facility.
• A centrally located pool attendant's room and a new security system and PA system.
• A ramp to provide better access to people with disabilities will be added to the 25m pool will be provided shortly.
• Energy saving measures including solar heating, power factor correction and flexible control of lighting. Multiple electricity supplies to the existing site have been consolidated into the one supply.
• Water saving measures such as collection of storm water from part of the roof and shade structure are included and the design of the facility will facilitate future stormwater harvesting from the entire roof and concourse areas.
• The design of the redevelopment has provided for future Stage 2 and Stage 3 developments. Stage 2 development will allow for the refurbishment of the 25m pool, the intermediate pool and the toddler's pool. The plant room has been sized to allow for the replacement of all equipment in the old plant room to allow for the demolition of the old plant room at a future date. A new expanded amenities block, a new and expanded kiosk, new entry system and a function room have been provided for in Stage 2. Stage 3 caters for the construction of an indoor hydrotherapy pool. It should be noted that although they have been allowed for, construction of Stages 2 and 3 have not been approved by Council.

The centre incorporates a number of pools, a water slide and a kiosk. It caters for both recreational and competitive swimmers.
Q. How many pools does the centre have?
The Centre has a 25m pool (1.1 to 1.4m), a 50m pool (1.2m to 2.05m), an intermediate pool (0.8m) and a toddler's pool. In addition, the slide pool (1.0m) can also be used as a learn to swim pool.
