This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.

This discussion forum has been set up by Council for two important purposes. The first is to seek your feedback on the Expressions of Interest (EOI) received by Council for future land use options. The summary EOI document is available here to download. Please note that the document does NOT include detailed designs and plans at this stage. Council is interested in your questions about the ideas that have been put forward by the companies that submitted an expression of interest. Detailed plans will be prepared when Council has adopted a prefered land use option. The second is to provide a space for you to ask questions about geotechnical issues affecting the Quarry and its environs. Council has received three proposals to use the open pit as land fill space and eventually return the land to various recreational uses. This may take approximately 10 years. There is no intention to use the site as a putrescible waste facility.
Do you agree with using the site as a solid waste management facility?
