Crispin Buteriss PhD, Director
Crispin has demonstrated a strong commitment throughout his professional career to the value that community and stakeholders can bring to complex decisions whether through consultative or collaborative processes. Prior to establishing Bang the Table Crispin had a fifteen year career in community and stakeholder engagement, project management and public policy with a focus on land use planning, economic development and environmental protection. His Doctorate explored the application of adult and organisational learning praxis to community engagement processes. He also has a First Class Honours Degree in Natural Resources. Crispin speaks regularly at professional gatherings around Australia and occasionally abroad about the theory and practice of internet based community engagement. Matthew Crozier, Director
Matt was a founding Director of Bang the Table.
Matt's experience working with community stakeholders in Australia and the UK across the transport, economic development, rural affairs and land use planning portfolios has created a strong desire to get more of the silent majority involved in public policy discussions. Before establishing Bang the Table, Matt had a fifteen year career in and around the public sector in government relations, policy development and management. He has First Class Honours Degree in Economics as well as Master's Degrees in Transport Planning and Resource Economics. Karthik Reddy, Director
Karthik is a Director of Bang the Table and was solely responsible for the early versions of our software.
A native of Chennai, India, Karthik is motivated by a strong commitment to social justice issues. This was apparent in his decision to give up the corporate safety net to join the Bang the Table team in the earliest of days; his choice of the innovative open source software, Ruby on Rails, as the underlying technology for all Bang the Table products; and his strong support for Bang the Table's commitment to Oxfam's community empowerment projects in India. A software engineer by profession, Karthik has a long history of project managing the development of large scale 'net' based software projects for the insurance, banking and realestate sectors. Ray Scanlan, Client Liaison
Ray is Bang the Table’s Client Liaison. When you’ve got a question, Ray is the man with answers. Ray has a remarkable CV that includes extensive experience working in and around the arts and culture sector, including a stint as the General Manager of the Northern Territory Arts Council, place making and management, marketing, strategic land use planning and community engagement.This breadth of skills and experience perfectly places Ray to provide broad ranging advice about how to get the very best out of Bang the Table’s product suite.Email him, he’d like that.
Tracey Gobey, Client Liaison
Raised in Zimbabwe with a Public Relations Degree from the University of Alabama, Tracey Gobey, has a generous helping of experience in marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement. With experience on both sides of the consultant/client interface, having owned her own consultancy business specialising in digital strategy and traditional and online marketing and communication services, Tracey also has extensive experience in the resources and energy sector, having worked for some of Australia’s largest infrastructure, mining and electricity companies. Luke Watson, Help Desk Manager
Luke is a well traveled native of Melbourne and joined us via customer service and technical supports roles at Telstra and Edsoft. His mission is to ensure we maintain the highest possible level of service to our very valuable clients. He calm, friendly and helpful, making him the perfect help desk manager. Aerin Langworthy, Office Manager & Creative
If one job wasn’t enough, Aerin has three. She manages to combine the roles of Office Manager, Personal Assistant to Matt and Crispin, and Graphic Designer. Aerin has a fantastically eclectic background in all things design and administration related - with sidelines in events management and massage. She has a Degree in Fine Arts and is responsible for most of our branding and collateral material. If you need to talk to someone about accounts, office management and administration, then Aerin is your gal!
Kath Crozier, Chief Moderator
Kath Crozier arrived at Bang the Table after a long career in that most challenging and rewarding of professions, midwifery. Which means she is used to dealing with highly emotional situations and people in highly agitated states. Kath looks after our 24/7 team of moderators dotted around the world. She ensures the high quality of our moderation processes by keeping the team up to speed with best practice tips, cultural differences and reviewing all deleted comments.
