The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the North Orange Bypass is currently on display for public comment. As it is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the city's history, Orange City Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal. The consultation process is in two parts. Formal submissions to the EIS need to be made in writing to Orange City Council's General Manager Garry Styles and mailed to PO Box 35 Orange NSW 2800 by 5pm Friday 26 June 2009. These submissions will be considered as part of the statutory process and assessment of the EIS. Alternatively, comments can be posted on this website. The findings of the Bang the Table consultation, while not formal submissions, will be reported to Council when the EIS is tabled for consideration. The libary on this site includes the full EIS and a summary of the EIS.

Do you have any issues regarding the extension of the North Orange Bypass from Astill Drive in the Narrambla Business Park to the Mitchell Highway at Chinamans Bend?

Chinamans bend
Chinamans bend is an excellent location for the exit/entry point . The bypass also needs to continue at other end to Ploughmans lane .The locals will need to embrace the growth of Orange in a positive way . Great to see roundabouts having precedence over traffic lights .What a refreshing council view of traffic management.
