This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.

Logan City is reaching an exciting time of life. How the City will look, feel and work is up for discussion and you have the opportunity to participate.

We ask you to take a look at Logan City Council's 'Statement of Proposals' and submit your comments by 23 October, 2009.

Logan City Council is required by the State Government to produce a Statement of Proposals which identifies matters related to Logan City's planning scheme, identifies ways to address these matters, and states how the planning scheme will reflect the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2009-2031.

The Logan City Planning Scheme coordinates and integrates infrastructure needs, land use and development, valuable features, and takes into account any State and regional dimensions.
For more information go to 'Library' to download the document, or view the Statement of Proposals in hard copy at the Council's administrative centres in Logan, Beenleigh and Jimboomba.

More people, more houses

By 2031 Logan City will need to accommodate an estimated 70,000 new dwellings. Council proposes to balance this demand by increasing the number of dwellings in existing housing areas (infill) and by providing new dwellings in new areas (greenfield). What are your thoughts? What would you like Council to consider?

How can Council accommodate the housing needs of Logan City residents? Should Council be considering more duplexes, townhouses, or even second dwellings on the same block?

Logan City currently contains a mix of rural, natural environment, business, industrial and urban areas. What balance should Logan City Council consider in these areas?
