This consultation has concluded
Council has received an application to close York Street Tahmoor, principally between Thirlmere
Way and Larkin Street, to facilitate further commercial development within the Tahmoor shopping precinct.
If agreed to by Council, an application will be required to be submitted to the Minister for approval to close the road. If successful, the road will be closed, and a new property lot created, which would then be sold to the applicant. Funds generated by this sale are required under the Roads Act to be spent on road related activities.
Prior to determining the matter, Council is seeking the views of the community on the proposal.
A copy of a Traffic Report assessing the impact of the closure on the local road network, along with a presentation summarising the key issues associated with the matter are located in the library on the right hand side of this page.
Comments will be received up to 12 August 2010.
