Council wishes to name the ~500 sqm flat floor hall space within The Concourse facility, which is currently under construction. To find out more about The Concourse go to http://www.theconcourse.com.au/

The space will be predominantly used for public celebrations and civic functions, conferences, exhibitions, banquets, weddings and large community gatherings, and it is also planned to house the Willoughby Bicentennial Banners there. The space honours our heritage and harks back to the old "town hall", a community place where people would gather in celebration and unity.

The space will sit prominently in the centre of The Concourse, entered from the main plaza open space area, above the Library. Its entrance foyer may also be accessed from the pedestrian link off Ferguson Lane. Enjoying natural light from the north, it is a flexible open space divisible by two, and can seat between 400 guests in banquet mode and 500 patrons in theatre mode.

We are currently requesting community feedback on a potential name for the space. The following names have been suggested.

The Civic Hall                      The Civic Ballroom

The Civic Pavillion             The Boardroom

Banner Room                     The Heritage Salon

Galleria                                The Well

The Pivot
