I think the recommendations are good and should result in a great outcome for families with young children.
I would like to see additonal family change rooms as my family usually spends quite a while waiting. Additionally a family pass for a year could be very attractive

Unsubstantiated assumptions about user groups' preferences.

The study appears to recommend against a 50m pool because that is not what the non-users want! 50m pools are part of the Australian way of life & most comments from those who actually swim at Willoughby & elsewhere favour one. Shouldn't we count?

The consultation had very little public involvement. Most of the users of the centre knew nothing of it, until it was too late. No user survey, just what the consultant thought we want.
Warringah currently has an online aquatic survey...how come Willoughby did not?

Yes. Maybe the study conclusions are too influenced by what they found at Blacktown. They acknowledge more highly educated groups are more attuned to healthy lifestyles; Swimming Australia's motto is "Swimming for Life"; & the biggest age group is 30-39 but use the ageing of the population (?) & what the non-users (who don't seem to have made submissions) may want (?) to give a 50m pool the lowest priority.

Recreation facilities will improve health and wellbeing for the community. It is important to invest in the health of the community

I am surprised that a 50m pool is not a high priority recommendation.
North Sydney is an outdoor heated pool (and still quite cold in winter!)
Lane Cove outdoor pool closes in winter.
I think my closest indoor 50m pool is Ian Thorpe in the city.
I would have thought this was a real gap in facilities in the lower north shore.
