What about making vacant buildings available to emerging artists at low rents. This would help keep talent in the area.

there is a lot of building that are council managed that struggle to pay cost and are left vacant a building could be taken up that allows for arts workshop and that could also be used for a gallery to sell items. CWA Hall in tahmoor come to mind.

We should have our own building so we can have a central that we can use for art and produce, for the community as well as the tourist. We should look at other community for instance the Inverell region in the north-west NSW. They have their own gallery and they exhibit not only the local talent but also local produce. They have exhibitions. What do we have? Also we have no art group. Camden has two the Camden and the Macarthur group. What do we have?

I think allowing more local outlets for our producers of foods and crafts to sell would make a real difference. This helps put cash in pockets and also reinforces the traditions and rural crafts that are part of our culture.
