I support the declaration of the Bundanoon mainstreet as a heritage precinct.

.

I would like to see any new residential development around the edges of the town follow the traditional heritage grid street pattern.

.

Any new houses should be sympathetic to the heritage qualities of the town.

The big challenge for Bundanoon is to maintain its heritage without becoming a twee version of itself - "Old Bundanoon Town". It's pretty well perfect just the way it is. I share Berramhistory's concerns about development on the edge of town. It's okay as long as it is managed carefully and is inkeeping with the rest of the village. Also, we need to be careful that residential growth doesn't create a call for more retail outlets which has the potential to take away from the feel of the village.

Any councilor who votes for this discusting increase in development density in Bundanoon does so at their political peril.
