Consultation Less this Year
A lot of members of the public have given up on contributing to the NCC Management Plan process this year, after being largely ignored by the Elected Council administration and the Minister last year.
This process of consultation has likewise only attracted a handful of contributors and must be considered a failure and poor value for money.
I know for sure that a number of the contributions under different names come from one person, using logins established under fake names. It was done to test the veracity of the system.
This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.

I agree. It has probably been a waste of time but hopefully Councillors will see the funny side of it and also get the point of the farce that the NCC undertakes under the banner of Consultation

I agree. The administration uses a facade of processes and policies that give the appearance of adherence to the statutory requirements for consultation. But experience suggests there is no genuine interest in listening to any feedback that is not in agreement with their position. Worse still, the elected Council seems to accept it.
Why would you bother making the effort?

Some of us believe that evil triumphs when good men do nothing . Newcastle needs fixing.
trouble is the odds are stacked against truth and justice.
However, we live in hope

FROM ADMIN
Reformer - it is perfectly possible for people to post views under different names on this site just as it is possible to write more than one submission to Council in a more traditional consultation. The value is not in the number of times you say something it is in ensuring that all views have a chance to be heard.
This consultation has been viewed by hundreds of people some of whom have felt moved to comment and others who have not.
We are glad you have had a chance to express your views on this site and that others have done so too.
