Do you access walking tracks, trails, cycle ways, natural open space or waterways in Willoughby? What is your experience of them and how can they be improved?

The issue with onroad cycle ways in Willoughby is that cars park in them making them next to useless. Council needs to do a better job of enforcing the cycle ways and protecting cyclists from motorists who treat them as extra wide parking bays.

The Epping Road cycleway is good to ride on, except that between the Pacific Highway and west beyond Centennial Road is heavily littered with branches and twigs.

If this litter were swept away regularly, it would be safer and therefore more enjoyable to ride on.

The "shared cycle/pedestrian" footpath on the Pacific Highway north of Chatswood High School is not adequate for both users.

The last point that saludos makes is very important as the ENTIRE "shared cycle/pedestrian" footpath on the Pacific Highway Chatswood is absolutely dangerous for all users.

The placement and design is ill-conceived and it does not comply to "Australian Design Rules". Whoever in WCC designed and approved it should be counselled as they have failed to consider the most basic of safety requirements. Ratepayers are entitled to much better work from WCC than this appalling project.

I run along the walking/bike tracks in Willoughby and Artarmon, and more than once I have almost been tripped over by dogs off their leashes. It's really dangerous for both runners and cyclists, aren't dogs meant to be on leashes on these paths?

I constantly am walking the bushwalking paths through Willoughby. Making sure that there is signage at the beginning of the walks, and that they don't get overgrown is important.
