Young people need things to do that stimulate their thinking and entertain them. There is such a spectrum of interests (and boredom) that the community is forced to see that skate parks and a youth centre are not enough. We need music venues ranging from places where young people can perform a wide range of music, dances, competitions, busking....We need the same for young people's art; ideas; street art; street dance....WCC is trying but we need to work with schools more closely. They have safe venues and are familiar to parents and kids.

WCC does a great job - I say this, unbiased from having experince working with young people.
We do offer quite a bit in the way of art and music for young people and we will soon have Civic Place completed which will be a great venue.
