3Strongly support the B2 and B4 in the centre it is a good chance to attract young people and new jobs. Are you sure there is enough provided to attract business and cater for future growth? How is this to be reviewed?

3Council will be required to review its LEP every 5 years. In addition, Council will commence preparation of a new revised Local Planning Strategy once the current LEP has been implemented. The new Planning Strategy will follow on from the recently exhibited State Government Sydney to canberra Corridor Strategy of which Wingecarribee is a part of. Indeed the Shire has been earmarked for growth. Through census data etc we can estimate growth patterns and accommodate service and employment needs accordingly.
The current commercial areas and the additional areas are supported by a Retail Study commissioned by Council in support of the Draft LEP

0I notice that the land listed under "industrial areas" pg3 for proposed IN1 rezoning is the currently public "Rotary Park". (On Old Bowral Road opposite the Berrima Bus Depot and opposite the Gib Gate Private Primary school).
There seems to be some confusion within the council itself over whether the entire park is up for grabs or just a part of it.
Mittagong has less open space than the other towns. Fact.
There is enough industrial,(light and medium) happening in this West Mittagong area already. Throw in a primary school, several hundred houses in West Mittagong a bus depot, 64 aged care units coming online at Babcock and Brown's "Gibraltar Park", Lyell and Cavendish major through roads to the new Big W/Marketplace and the new Aldi and the new Homeware Centre. Oh and for good measure throw in 160 more homes with the proposed "Gibbergunyah" rezoning on Old Bowral Road. ENOUGH ALREADY!
We need some sanity to prevail here. This is currently open parkland and publicly owned.
Please leave it this way
