There are currently a number of shops in Mowbray Road (West of the Pacific Highway) and in Fullers Road.
Do you think the land adjoining these existing neighbourhood shopping centres in Chatswood West should be rezoned in order to increase the size of centres and encourage additional neighbourhood shops and services within this area?

I think the shops in Fuller's Raod/Millwood Avenue are adequate, we don't need any development, Chatswood is close enough.

It now takes a minimum of 15 minutes (in non-peak times) to get from Chatswood West to the Chatswood CBD, find a park and start shopping, and double that to get the shopping home. In peak hours, which are extended in Chatswood and on Fullers/Millwood Rds, it can be twice as long or often more. By contrast, the local shops take five to ten minutes to complete the whole process. Besides, neighborhood shopping centres give the small independent store owner a place to succeed and a social hub for the locals - both of which are becoming increasingly impossible in the big CBD shopping malls which comprise the majority of Chatswood's retail outlets now..

The more the better.

While I don't live in the West Chatswood, I would consider that West Lindfield shops are also an option for people living in the vacinity of Millwood/Fuller Rd. I'm sure everyone would like to buy everything they need close to home and that also one else would use the same shop. For shops to survive they need either a large local population (lots of unit blocks) or traffic and parking from local residents not in close walking distance.

One of the existing shopfronts in Greville Street has been vacant for a while; would it be viable to add more shops?
