Imagine you go to school. You went to bed at quarter past ten last night because you had a drama performance and got up at 6:50 that morning. You are extremely tired and you are running late for school. You make it up the steep hill to the bus stop in the cold weather and cant wait untill you get onto the warm bus. Twenty minutes later you're still at the bus stop because the bus was canceled and then the next one drives straight past you even though it was not full and you signaled. COMMENT FROM ADMIN

Lily, I sympathise but this page is not a place for gneral gripes about the bus service. There is a vague reference to the ne timetables at the end of the paragraph so I will not delete this comment but could all please note that this is not a place for general service complaints, this is a discussion about the draft network. The point here may be that the new network needs to provide a more reliabe school service??

I think her complain is totally fair. Lily says she and her friend have had enough and is calling on this network rework to fix the problems. The network rework should be about meeting peoples needs and reasonable expectations. It is about clients not the operation of the bus company.

I just like to add that these cancellations are probably due to 20 State Transit buses from Newcastle being sent down to help Sydney while they work out the steering problem for at least 200 buses. Cancellations like this WILL continue until at least Friday 21st Dec 2007, and when schools resume next year, could be a problem at the start of the 2008 school year. It’s just that Newcastle Buses doesn't (or doesn't want to) tell anyone, unless you contact them - and I have other information regarding this steering problem.

Newcastle buses should only send spare buses to help out another operator. There should be no cuts in Newcastle. Doesnt Newcastle buses have an obligation to meet to its own clients?

ACTION buses in Canberra refused to send any of THEIR buses to Sydney, just like Newcastle should have refused. Let Sydney sort out their OWN problems! I said this elsewhere though, will Newcastle get these 20 bus that Sydney Buse 'pinched' back?
