these peak Sat winter closures would be a last resort option due to the n'hood wide disruption
1. Has Council considered more simple phase one alternatives such as providing a kiss & ride drop off/collection point on the south side of Small St opposite the upper carpark ? - this could utilise the existing loop under Flat Rock Dr with a turnaround at the top of the Bicentennial Park eastern car park - this may also help reduce the significant amount of existing driver/ped conflict in this arrival/crossing zone
2. this work above would be done in conjunction with lower cost footpath widenings, a new ped crossing in Short St and improved cycle parking linked to a community/sports club/schools promotion campaign
3. re the left hand only exit from the upper carpark as shown and forcing drivers to exit via the lower carpark may frustrate drivers looking for a rapid exit to the next sibling's mid-winter weekend sports event

partial disagreement the "one way proposed " really makes only minor change to current.
To obviously focusing only on non car options again david!

NO! These proposals pretty clearly do nothing that will reduce congestion for the saturday users of the facilities. They are clearly designed to pacify a noisy group of local residents who have already resulted in reduced use of the sportsfields with restrictions on use of lighting and reduced Sunday use of the oval.
The closure of tulloh, salisbury and marlborough will reduce current parking space and divert all exiting traffic to use the lights at Willoughby road. The lights when red already cause a backlog of traffic to the carpark exit; this will only be worsened by restricting other exits.

Tulloh Street is divided at the southern end and therefore one way in each direction. How are residents on the eastern side supposed to get out on Saturdays if the southern end (only exit) of the street is closed??

Residents on Salisbury and Marlborough already park on both sides of their perspective streets and cope with the occasional pulling over to allow a car to pass in the opposite direction. I think we need to understand what the "possible" parking restrictions would be. It would be a rude shock to get a council fine parking in front of your own residence where your vehicle spends most of the week if you forgot to move it by Saturday morning.
