We are interested in most artforms be it live theatre, musical (both classical & modern), art, photography, cooking,etc.

There are now many community choirs in the area. It would be good if there was some sort of annual show case or possibly competition, with many local members, friends and family this would involve a large number of local residents.

I am also in a community choir in Lane Cove. It would be a terrific idea to get together all the choirs. We are joining with Lane Cove Concert Band in June for a combined friends and family concert after they approached us.

I would like to participate in more activities offered by indigenous members of this community.
I would also like to see a resurgence in the live music scene in the lower North Shore (it was quite dynamic in the 70s and 80s). There aren't too many place one can go to enjoy live music now - and I'm not just talking about rock music - on the weekend. I would certainly be interested to know about poetry nights and independent music performances.
Gatherings with guest speakers that offer opportunities for local artists to network, share ideas and sharpen their knowledge of contemporary art issues would also be a welcome addition to the Willoughby community program. I get so sick of having to go to the inner city for this stuff. Its $4 over the bridge, $5 in petrol. And I'm running out of black clothes.
