I believe that a Beach Volleyball court is a good idea, as it provides an activity for those not swimming, and could possibly generate revenue for the Pool Facility when the weather is that little bit too cold to go into the water.

All of the above would be good. Top of the list should be ramp access for disabled to both pools.

Expanded Kiosk is necessary. This should be along the lines of a cafe style kiosk that has tables and chairs in a fenced off area so people can sit down and enjoy cups of coffee (in nice cups)and sandwiches or cooked hot food while watching their children in the smaller pools. The menu should include heathly options as well as the traditional stuff we all like to have when we go to the pool like chips and potato scallops, etc. The kiosk will have to be extended to take in the old attendant room (currently near the existing Kiosk). The area will need to be covered so people can sit without getting burnt.
The BBQ area could be a great area if a covered area was available that has long tables and chairs or benches in it and gas BBQ's like the ones at a lot of caravan parks that required 20 to 50 cents per period of time to use and have 4 in a bricked in area. Good maintainence of the area around it is important as well so that barefoot people are not stepping in prickles or being eaten by ants.

I do really like the idea of the cafe style kiosk with healthy choices and good quality coffee - the only problem with this is that it calls upon the pool to hire more staff.
The traditional foods you mentioned, such as the chips and potato scallops, have become traditional for the fact that they are fast to prepare, and with a minimum of skill.
Don't get me wrong, it would be a pleasure to sit and relax over a toasted sandwich and a cappucino, but with the need for extra staffing I'm not entirely sure that it's feasible.

An expanded kiosk could be a money-maker. It should sell swimming equipment. To my knowledge the kiosk is not run by Council, nor should it be. It should be awarded to someone on a tendering basis, under conditions determined by Council. The tender could be money going to Council, or it could cost Council if the conditions make it unprofitable.

I would like to see:
- an expanded kiosk with healthy choices included on the menu and seating with shade available.
- Extended car park.
- Reduced speed zones in the vacinity
- Function room
- Water polo competitions
- Family change rooms for parents of different sex children.

I recall from a meeting I went to that family change rooms were on the drawing board for maybe the next stage when new change rooms are built and yes I think it's a necessity too.

Now that we have the new pool for the kids and healthy adults, we should be thinking about the elderly, handicapped and injured. A hydrotherapy pool is needed. Problem is it needs to be heated to 32 degrees and preferably enclosed. Any ideas?

This has already been addressed and I believe is in stage 3 (whenever that might be!)

Yes to the hydrotherapy pool. That would be great and I imagine it would be well utilised.

Some family change rooms would be very helpful. It is difficult to safely utilise the current change and toilet facilities as a mother of boys aged 6-8.

State of the art childrens playground (similar to Sturt Park). Indoor swimming facility or options for the large pool. Link membership to a local gym to open up more health and fitness options for the community (eg pay an annual fee for the pool, but for a certain amount more, you can purchase a membership for the gym and pool, at a discounted rate) OR build onto the existing facility a health centre (with gym, fitness classes, aquaerobics, personal training, half court tennis, beach volleyball etc). As an aside, the option of a self serve breakfast might also be useful for the morning swimmers during warmer months...a fee could be charge (eg $5) to access on site breakfast facilites such as cereal, toast, fresh fruit. Might get more people fitting in a swim before work if they can cut down the rush
