Local noticeboard - for sale items and local business/services. Perhaps for a small fee - and notices up for a limited time period.

I think it would be great to see a coffee shop, comfortable reading areas, youth space, some gaming machines (e.g. xBox, Playstation etc), a computing room which includes at least 20 public pc's, scanners, printing facilities, computer self booking system), local history room with microfilm readers and printers, meeting/study rooms (bookable for local community groups), wet area for children's area to allow for craft activities, public toilets with baby change table, self check out machines, drive through returns.

Services I would like to see: book clubs, youth workshops (e.g. create your own movie using YouTube, creative use of Flickr and other social networking sites), regular children's activities (e.g. storytime, baby rhyme time), holiday activities, author visits/talks.

I would like to see it include a coffee shop, indoor & outdoor reading areas, youth area (place for socialising & to play computer games such as XBox), homework assistance, book club, meeting room, modern Technology Centre with access link-up to local universities, public toilets with a mother's room, craft area for kids, help for family history, evening & Sunday opening hours

All of the listed would be great assets to the library.
It would be great to see more educational/documentary type DVD's that you can not borrow from the video store available for borrowing.

The new library needs to include seperate areas for kids, teenagers and older people. Quite areas and noisy areas. Heaps more seating and tables than the current building.
More Computers with longer booking times with all the modern software and hardware applications. The ability for self service like at Big W - I want to borrow my own books.
Organised events and programs - author visits, writers workshops, book clubs and discussion groups. Activities for kids and young people not only during school holidays.
Parking that is more than 2 hours so I can do research in the Library without having to move the car and a cafe so I can spend all day their if I want to.
An outdoor seating area - a courtyard perhaps off the cafe.
Why not a drive-by return chute?
