What programming at the pool would interest you in using the centre
Gone are the days of opening the gate and people will come.... what programming do you think the pool should have to encourage usage?? This needs to a huge consideration by Council otherwise the pool will be underutilised. Would you like to see regular events like discos, dive in movies, learn to swim all year round, aqua-aerobics, Senior club sessions... lets get council to hear our ideas so they run the pool properly...

What about an all round aquatic entertainment complex (built over several phases) such as a smaller scale waterworld concept. Give tourists somewhere to go that is diofferent than the norm when they are here in the hotter months...eg wave pool, multiple slides, outdoor theatre floating on blow up chairs etc...might need to fundraise a bit more to get to this level though

I don't think you need more programs than is already offered, but perhaps a gym (does BH need a another one) and a decent cafe. If Steve went to Victoria park pool in Darlinghurst inner Sydney this is what they did and people are there. They had always done well from lap swimmers (who swim all year round)now there are gym junkies and nice place for an after swim brekky. I don't think there are any swimming clubs using it, just learn-to-swim.
