We regularly attend music festivals within NSW, Blue Mountains music festival, Byron Blues festival, Illawara music festival. Plus both free and paid events in Sydney, such as Sydney festival events, Olympic park events etc.
It would be great if with the development of the new venues there could be some sort of ongoing music festival in Chatswood. Preferably with a mix of music to appeal to a wide range and ages of people. This could then possibly lead to a regular venue and or conserts. The redeveloped Incinerator sounds as if it could be a good venue for small scale accoustic conserts.

There used to be a battle of the bands comp in Lane Cove. I think they used the bandstand to stage it. It would be good to combine music and multicultural activities where there are things for people to join in on ie workshops.

Most of the cultural activities attended by my family are on the other side of the Harbour Bridge (except for movies -they are ALWAYS attended on this side).
For various reasons we do not attend inter-state festivals (although we would love to), therefore festivals nearby are warmly welcomed and attended. We would love to see the quality in local programs developed so that entertainment, exhibitions and forums represent more experimental, thought-provoking and interactive forms.
