Willoughby City Council invites parents, teachers, students and other interested community members to participate in this online forum on Youth matters. One of our main goals in this forum is to identify what issues our community believes are significant amongst young people and importantly what programs and services we should be providing to address them.
So what is a young person? A young person is generally defined to be between 12-25 years of age. Within this age bracket young people are in a flux of constant developmental changes and often have unique issues such as bullying, scholastic expectations, drugs & alcohol and self-esteem issues amongst a range of others to contend with.
It is important therefore that Willoughby City Council considers these issues at both a personal and wider community level. To do this we consult young people directly, however we see it as pivotal that we consult others who have a vested interest in young people’s wellbeing - primarily parents and teachers and of course students themselves.
Five questions including opportunities for you to have your say are listed below. Thank you again for participating in this online forum
